BEGIN YOUR Musical JOURNEY

Private LESSONS

Private lessons are offered on a weekly basis, in 60 minute sessions. We work at your pace, and can dive in-depth into various aspects of the music you are studying.

Group Classes

If you are more comfortable learning in a group setting, and have interest in studying improvisation, composition, or music theory working with and playing in front of other students, there are weekly group classes available as well. These are a great supplement to weekly private lessons, as they allow a different approach to the study of this subject matter.

Online Lessons

If you are unable to attend in-person lessons and would like to further your music education through online lessons, please reach out! I have full capabilities to offer multi-camera online lessons from my home studio. There are some requirements for your setup, of which I can provide a list if you are interested.

“Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul.”

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Bryan McAllister
Pianist, composer, and music teacher

My name is Bryan McAllister, I was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. My parents are professional musicians and I always swore I would do something different for a career, but when I was nearing graduation from high school, I fell in love with modern jazz music.

Then it was rock and roll. Then it was anything else I could figure out how to play. It felt like such a cliche to me to follow in my parents’ footsteps, but there I was applying to music school!

Flash forward 17 years and I have gotten to make music with some of my heroes, I have gotten to travel the world playing with friends and strangers and everyone in between, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Although I still play professionally, I don’t tour and travel like I used to, and that allows me to teach private lessons and get to share my passion with a new generation of musicians. Sharing the love I have for music is just as important to me as getting to make music in the first place, and I take great pride in watching the development of my students as they blossom into the musicians and artists that they have always wanted to be.
